Saint Rocke

As many of you know, me and my happy hour crew have ventured to the South Bay to see what kind of happy hours are down there. Luckily we have found some mighty tasty treats and great deals. Saint Rocke fits in this category but it brings "a first" that even I haven't seen before. Happy hour bands!! Yes, bands as in "live music".  Sweet!!!  If you check out their website, you'll see that bands start at around 6:30pm on certain nights. Our girl, Love, had been to Saint Rocke before and has really liked all the bands she has seen. But let's talk more about happy hour!

Saint Rocke has happy hour Monday-Friday from 5-7:30pm and everything on the menu is $5!! Everything... all food and drinks!! Well, not the burgers or sandwiches but everything else is. And not only is the food cheap but it's really, really good. Scouts' honor!!

Now normally we are cocktail girls, but it was Valentine's Day so I thought I'd start out wine. I asked for a taste of the Liberty School Chardonnay and it was quite delicious. I liked it so much that I stuck with it all night. Love had 7 and 7s.

Liberty School Chardonnay
-Normally $9, but $5 at happy hour and it was great.

And all the food is 5 bucks, too*!!  We ordered four things and all of them we really good! The sliders were probably my favorite of the night.

 Strawberry Salad $5
w/ candied walnuts and goat cheese
dressed with a light Balsamic Vinagrette

Asparagus Flatbread $5
with mushrooms, shallots, garlic, and mozzarella

Baja Carne Asada Soft Tacos $5 for 3
*also comes with chicken

Signature Kobe Sliders $5 for 3
with grilled mushrooms and chipotle mayo and
served on Hawaiian Sweet Bread
~nom nom nom nom~

Now showing what we drank and ate truly does not give this happy hour justice. You gotta check out the menus. Did I mention it's ALL $5*???

Let's start with the food:

And the drinks!

All that for $5??? Uh-maze-ing! This is definitely a great happy hour, so check it out the next time you are in the Southbay. You won't be disappointed.

  1. Live music during Happy Hour?? That's a first for me. Now I'll have to mosey on down there for sure. Sounds fun! :)

I had wanted to go to Saint Rocke a few times now. A couple of tribute/cover bands that I like, play there from time to time. I've hesitated to go [so far] primarily because of the whole parking situation down there. It can be a pain at night/weekends from what I'm told.

Maybe the next time one of my bands play on Friday night, I'll get there early to take advantage of their Happy Hour. Either way, the deal sounds good enough as it is.

    Good "work," Vix! :-P
