Along with all-night happy hour on Monday, Pourtal's happy hour includes Tuesday-Friday 4-7pm with $5 glasses of wine and beer and $4 appetizers. For wine, they offered a rose, a couple whites, and a couple reds. We tried both reds and we were impressed with the quality for just $5. Amber (a member of our happy hour crew) loved one so much she wanted to buy a bottle to take home!
Although we loved the wine, it was Pourtal's appetizers that really impressed us... especially for just $4 a plate. We tried five different items:
Spanakopita

A "must"! Similar to pâté, but
made with Duck Confit rather than liver

Tater Tots
They are your basic tater tots
but the sauce was pretty good. It had one hell of a kick!
Also offered were Olives, Mini Kobe Dogs, Wings, and Better Bar Nuts. I look forward to going back and trying those. The night we went we sat inside, but I think next time we'll sit outside on the patio, which is dog friendly.
Another great thing about Pourtal is that it has enomatic tasting machines that allows you to taste wines that would normally be $10-70 by the glass. At Pourtal, you can pay for a one-ounce pour so you can try more expensive wines without it won't being so costly.
