As many of you know, I really like love cocktails.  So much so that table20.com was kind enough to ask me if I'd be a judge for their
L.A's Best Bartender Contest. What a honor!

The contest is now coming close to an end. In the last three weeks, my fellow judges and I have visited the six finalists:

-People’s Choice Bartender Winner, Matt Biancaniello of Library Bar at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

-Joseph Brooke of The Edison

-Max Diaz of Cicada Club and Cole’s

-Devon Espinosa of The Tasting Kitchen

-Alex Straus of Suite 700 at Hotel Shangri-La and Hemingway’s Lounge

-Dee Ann Quinones of Susan Feniger’s Street, The Parlour Room, and Philippe Chow

(I wasn't able to visit Dee Ann because she has been out of town, but I have sampled her drinks.)

So who did I picked?????

Drumroll please!!!!!!! Sorry, but that's top secret information! But the winner of L.A.'s Best Bartender Contest will be announced at an exclusive party at Takami Sushi Restaurant in Downtown LA. 
The party will be on Oct 4, 7pm-10pm. Yeah it's a Monday but that's the only way all the finalists can go. Yep that's right! It's their night off so they will all be there and each of one of them will contribute their own unique rum punch concoctions to be sampled by party guests. I can't wait!! 
But be aware... NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD for this event. The only way to get tickets is through me and the other judges. And I'm giving away 5 PAIRS!!!
