Vixens' L.A. HAPPY HOURS: Mr. Cecil's Ribs

It's always nice to find a happy hour that doesn't just consists of sliders and calamari. So when I heard Mr. Cecil's offered a whole rack of Baby Back Ribs for $9.99... I grabbed a friend and headed on down.

We actually thought that would be the only special, but we were wrong. We found a whole menu of great eats starting at $2 and lots of cocktails for just $4.

In addition to our ribs, we got some Buffalo Wings. When the plates arrived, we were amazed that we really did get a full rack of ribs (I counted them, lol) and tons of wings. And the wings were only $3.50. Great prices!

And Mr Cecil's drinks specials are just as good! You can get selected drafts for $2, pitchers for $8, and wells & specialty cocktails for $4. I had a couple Bloody Marys and my friend had a Rum and Coke. Both were nice and strong. Okay, maybe the Bloody Mary wasn't the best I've ever had but it was big for $4.

So unless you are a vegetarian, this is really a great happy hour. The only drawback is that happy hour is only offered at the bar and at three very small bar tables that only seat two people. But that's okay. It still rocks in my book.

One thing I did find kinda' odd (yet funny at the same time) was that they had pictures of cows and pigs on the walls. Check out the pig on the left. He stared at me while I was eating pork ribs. That Mr. Cecil has a pretty good sense of humor.
