Rocco's Tavern - Studio City

One thing I don't like about the Valley is that there aren't a lot of places that have outside patios. I mean, it's not like it's too cold in the Valley, right!? So when Rocco's first opened with their outside patio, I was excited to try it. Then when I saw the sign that stated "2-for-1 on All Drinks during Happy Hour", I was just thrilled!! And then to top it off... their happy hour starts at 3pm! Since I'm done with work at 2:30pm, this was just perfect. It was like the Happy Hour Gods were looking down at me.

So it's that simple! Rocco's happy hour is 2-for-1 on all drinks. Not restrictions! They only down side is that you have to get "the two" drinks at the same time. I usually get a Vanilla Vodka and Diet so they'll put it in one big glass. Much better.

Although Rocco's doesn't have any happy hour specials on food, I've tried a few of the selections on their menu.  I would recommend their pizza (18" with unlimited topping is $20) or the Italian fries served with garlic aioli ($6). The calamari is also tasty, but at $12 a pop really isn't worth the money.

I've tried other things on the menu such as the Eggplant Parmigiana and the Portabello Mushroom Burger and wasn't thrilled.

So, if you are looking for a place to get cheap drinks and seat outside, Rocco's will fit that bill nicely. If you are looking to chow down on some good, inexpensive food, I'd look elsewhere.
