Morton's

I knew that Morton's offered a great happy hour, but I was beyond pleased. I'll even say that food-wise, this is my favorite happy hour yet! I've been meaning to drop by the Beverly Hills location, but I stopped by the one in Burbank because it's right around the corner from my acupuncturist.  So, I walked into the bar and was instantly greeted by one of the bartenders, Susan. She asked if I had ever been there before and since I hadn't, she went over the food and drinks options and the prices. She was delightful.

Morton's happy hour (they refer to it as Power Hour) offers beer ($4), wine ($5), and 5 different mixed cocktails ($7). I started with the Cosmo and then followed that with a Gin "Mortini".  Both were very strong.

But the best part of this happy hour is the food.  All their "Bar Bites" are just $5.  Yes, lots of restaurants offer $5 options but the servings are usually small. Well, Morton's servings were amazing.  Since they were just $5, I splurged and ordered three plates. I went with the Mini Crab Cakes, Jumbo Lump Crab, Spinach, and Artichoke Dip, and the Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches. That's right... filet mignon for $5!! You get four mini sandwiches cooked to order, and they were done perfectly.  It was a hard call, but I think I have to say that the Crab and Artichoke Dip was my favorite.  It was a good size serving and came with a good amount of soft bread toasted perfectly. The Crab Cakes were the only thing I didn't like.  They aren't traditional crab cakes and were just kind of mushy.

Throughout my meal, Susan (the bartender) kept checking in on me. She was an excellent server, along with being the bartender. She handed the bar and the tables with another girl. The manager also visited the bar area checking on guests.  Morton's definitely goes out of their way to make sure their customers are pleased.

Oh! Another plus is that their happy hour is daily and they also offer a late night happy hour starting at 9pm. I can't wait to go back!
