If you aren't a Valley local, you might not be aware of a great little bar in North Hollywood called Bar One Beer and Wine Parlour. It's quite a hidden gem.
Recently, I saw on Bar One's Facebook Page that every Saturday is "Ladies' Night" and Sangria is only $2 for all the ladies. Yep... 2 bucks, girls! Now, boys... I know what you're thinking. "What about us??? What do the guys get???" Well, you get girls. Happy, tipsy girls. But Sangria is usually $5 every night, so you guys still get a pretty good deal. And everyone gets $2 off wine. Nice.

One thing I like most about this bar is the music they play. Some nights they have a DJ, but even the songs they play on their sound system are great. And on some nights, they play rare silent films and cult movie classics. It definitely goes with the red lights and velvet wallpaper. They always have different specials going on, so check their website so you know what's going on. The crowd there is usually good and the bartenders are ALWAYS friendly. If Arthur is behind the bar, tell him Vixen sent you. He is one of my favorite bartenders!!
