Vixens' L.A. HAPPY HOURS: Umami Burger

Mmmmmmm, I love Umami Burger. Before going to their happy hour, I only had their original "Umami Burger" and it's soooo good. Nom nom nom nom! So of course my burger BFF, Christopher, and I had to check out their happy hour.

Umami only has happy hour at its Los Feliz location. Why?? Who the heck knows! But it's Monday - Friday 3pm to 7pm and you can get $4 drafts/wine and $5 Smash Burgers. They also have a late night happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays 10pm-close.

Normally I like to start off my review with the drinks, but we all know that the burgers are the star here. Well, the Smash Burger is the same size as their regular burgers so that was good. It was also just as juicy. But how did it hold up in taste?? Eh. Sorry to say, it wasn't as amazing as their other burgers. It was "just a burger". In fact, I've actually had better happy hour burgers elsewhere. Bar Food on the Westside has a huge one that's super flavorful and it's only $6.

Now my friend Christopher said, "I wonder if this location is just not as good as the La Brea location?" (That's the one we usually go to.) Hmmm..... good point, my friend. So being that Christopher is a loyal member of our happy hour crew, he decided to get the Umami Burger. Whatda trooper! And the "Umami Burger" there was just as amazing as the La Brea one. So I guess it's just the Smash Burger that needs a little help. Darn.

We also got some fries and onion rings. Although they aren't on the HH menu, they're still cheap. I loved the onion rings.
