Atlantic Bar and Grill

I'm sad to say that Atlantic Bar is about to be no more. We went in last night for a birthday party, and we got the news. Although we were able to get drinks, they were only serving fries and they don't offer happy hour anymore. It seems like once the liquor is gone, so will the OPEN sign. Rest in peace, Atlantic. You will be missed.

I don't know why I've been so lucky lately, but I keep finding these amazing new happy hours. Atlantic Bar and Grill just recently opened their doors to the public and this last Wednesday was the start of their happy hour. And let me tell you... I was very impressed.

To start off, Atlantic's happy hour is Monday-Fri from 9pm-Midnight. Incredible, right!? Second, their cocktail menu is half off. So we got some really good hand-crafted cocktails for just $5.50 so let's break this down. You can go to Hollywood and get good hand-crafted cocktails between 9pm-Midnight for just $5.50. THIS is just unheard of!!

So is there a catch, like this is some sleazy place??? Absolutely not. We were more than impressed with the decor and style of this place. Atlantic sort of reminded us of The Edison downtown with its old era feel with the marble bar, dark wood, and large crystal chandeliers. Atlantic has a wonderful elegance that Hollywood has needed.

Now I'm still just blown away that we got fabulously made drinks for only $5.50 the whole time we were there.  We tried all five cocktails offered and our favorites were the Rattlesnake, Moscow Mule, and The Eastside. Being that it was a slow night, we got a chance to speak to the owner. He explained that they are just starting out with five cocktails on their cocktail menu for right now and hopes to increase it soon. But of course, they have a full bar and can make drink requested.

RATTLESNAKE
Sazerac Rye Whiskey,

The food selection was a bit small with just two items, but we were okay with that. Being that it was 9pm, we had already had dinner and we were mainly there just to get our drink on. But, of course, we tried the Fries and Calamari they offered. Both were perfectly made and we enjoyed each.

Now if you aren't a cocktail person, Atlantic also offers draft beers for $4. And if you are looking for a late night meal, they do have a Raw Bar which offers fresh oysters, shrimp, lobster, and Alaskan King Crab. Or you can dine on the Steak Frites or the Market Fish of the Day, both very reasonable at $20.

I'm just so excited to have found a place in Hollywood that has a late night happy hour with such good, inexpensive drinks. We all agreed that Atlantic has become our new drinking place in Hollywood. Hands down.
