Since starting this blog, lots of people have asked me what's my favorite happy hour. That's just such a hard question to answer. I mean, I've been to so many places that have great food and drinks. But do I have a favorite neighborhood bar?? Definitely.... Bar One Beer and Wine Parlour.

I actually found Bar One on Yelp.com two years ago. They had so many great reviews, I just had to go in. The first time I did, I instantly felt a good vibe. It was chill, had a good crowd, and the bartender was very inviting. In the last two years, I've gone in here and there to have a nice glass a wine with a friend or a date and continued to loved the place, but it wasn't until about four months ago that I became sort of a regular. One night, the BFF and I stumbled in on a Saturday because I heard about their Ladies' Night. Ladies' Night is every Saturday and they offer $2 Sangria for ladies and $2 off wines for everyone all night long. Well, the BFF and I had fabulous time. Well, the parts we remember that is. I do remember that I loved the Sangria!

Since that night, Bar One has sort of become my Cheers. It's the type of bar that is just comforting. I even go by myself sometimes and just chat it up with other patrons or with the bartender. And of course, you'll usually find me there during happy hour, which is 6-9pm Monday-Thursday, 7-9pm on Fridays and all day Sunday from 2-10pm. They also have a late night happy hour on Saturdays from midnight - close.
Their happy hour specials are $2.50 Sangria, $2 Sapporo & $2 Sake shots, and $1 off all wines and draft. I love their Sangria, but they also have an great selection of craft beer and nice wines. I'm always very impressed with the wine. 

And the specials don't stop at happy hour and Ladies' Night. On Mondays, they have a $3 Mystery Beer which is always a good quality craft beer and that lasts ALL night. And Tuesdays are a blast with free Lotería (Mexican bingo). I've been a couple times and it's fun!  Wednesdays are Wine Flight Night. You can get three 2 oz. pours of choice of wine for only $6. What an awesome deal!

But what truly gives this place its magic is the crowd and the bartenders. Everyone is always laid back and friendly. On Ladies' Night (my regular night) Arthur is the one behind the bar and he truly treats customers more like a friend rather than a customer. And the owners, Sean and Arlene, are awesome. Trust me. Just go.
